LA CROSSE CONCERT BAND ANNOUNCES 2009 CONCERT SEASON
THE LACROSSE CONCERT BAND WILL PRESENT FREE CONCERTS IN RIVERSIDE PARK ON WEDNESDAYS AT 7:30 PM. IN THE EVENT OF INCLEMENT WEATHER, CONCERTS BEGIN AT 8 PM AT LINCOLN MIDDLE SCHOOL (NEW RAIN LOCATION). THIS YEARS CONCERTS WILL BE HELD JUNE 10, 17 AND JULY 8,15,22, AND 29. THERE WILL BE A SPECIAL INDOOR CONCERT JUNE 24 AT VITERBO UNIVERSITY.  CONDUCTORS FOR THE SEASON WILL INCLUDE ALEX VAVER, RICK YOUNG.CHRIS WERNER,AND TAMMY FISHER.

Monday-Wednesday, August 17, 18 & 19: “Your Big Backyard”, 8:30 to 11:30 am. For ages 4-7 without adult.  Build a nest, complete with eggs; create rock buddy; “be” a tree frog; get up close and personal with some real critters; and more.

Full-day sessions for ages 7-11:

Friday, June 26: Freaky Friday “Engineer It, 8:30 am-4:30 pm. For ages 7-11 without adult. Unlock your inner engineer: design an aircraft that can withstand a storm, a parachute that can save an egg’s life, solid bridges made of paper, and more!

Friday, July 24: Freaky Friday “Art Tech”, 8:30 am-4:30 pm. For ages 7-11 without adult. Turn trash into treasure.  Reduce, reuse and recycle while creating unique works of art.

Friday, August 21: Freaky Friday “Weird Science”, 8:30 am-4:30 pm. For ages 7-11 without adult. Increase your sci-Q as you bang, bend and brainstorm with gravity, magnets and much more. Make slime and other crazy concoctions.

Your day will include 18-hole 4 Person Scramble-Golf Carts-$1,000 Hole in One Contest-Awards-Hole Events-Silent Auction & Raffle-Social Hour from 5 to 6-Buffet Dinner following short program. Cost is $60 for each golfer. Sponsored by Seven Rivers Region Chapter of Credit Unions and the La Crosse Radio Group. Proceeds benefit Gundersen Lutheran Children's Miracle Network.
